Adults living with congenital heart disease - improving everyday life for adults with congenital heart disease

NHS Specialised Services are leading a review on services for adults with congential heart disease. A set of draft standards has also been produced and these propose improvements to services, such as concentrating surgical expertise in specialist centres and improving referral processes. The NHS is now calling for people’s views on these draft standards and proposed model of care. The consultation closes on 27th July 2012.

Mortality among inpatients with diabetes: key findings for England

This analysis of mortality among inpatients with diabetes used data on over 13 million hospital admissions to assess case-mix and risk factors for inpatient mortality and identify trust level variation in the risk of an inpatient with diabetes dying.The key finding of this analysis was that inpatients with diabetes are 10% more likely to die than those without the condition.
