An HPMA workshop delivered by: Lynda Shattock

Target Audience:

This workshop is aimed at senior HR and OD practitioners who are familiar with the concept of talent management but who are relatively new to implementing talent management processes in their organisation. You may be an HR BP or OD practitioner who would like to develop talent management processes in a particular service or area of your organisation

This workshop is not aimed at practitioners who have experience in implementing organisation wide TM processes.

Purpose:

To review the processes and techniques for successfully introducing effective talent management.

Objectives:

To provoke discussion with and answers for participants on how to use the techniques in the most appropriate way within their own organisations.

Session Outcomes:

To enable participants to construct a sustainable plan of action for its effective introduction in their own organisation.

Depending on the needs of participants and the responses to the pre-work questionnaire, the session could look at: what we mean by talent, how it is linked with other organisational strategies; what are the current business drivers behind a TM strategy; what are the enablers and barriers to introducing TM; points to consider when introducing a TM plan; action planning TM for your own situation

Pre-Work:

There will be some pre-work in the form of a short questionnaire to fill out about where you’re at with talent management in your organisation so please ensure you have time to complete this before you register for the session. This will be used to inform the structure of the session.
