Strategic HR & OD Network

This is the 3rd meeting of the Strategic HR & OD Network and we will continue to focus on understanding and implementing Sustainability and Transformation Plans. In the morning, we will focus on understanding STPs from different perspectives – national, commissioning, acute, specialist trust, mental health, community and primary care. We are inviting people from the network to volunteer to give a short (10 min) presentation to provide a perspective on STPs from an acute/ specialist/commissioning/mental health/community/primary care point of view. If you’d like to volunteer to give one of the presentations, please contact diana.cliff@gstt.nhs.uk The afternoon will be a development session 'From Paper to People' delivered by Nick Richmond and Roger Cooper from Tricordant. www.tricordant.com This will be a practice oriented session which explores the interdependency between workforce and organisation design and how both are needed together to translate STP models into reality. As places at this meeting are limited to 50 and there is usually a reserve list, if you book on the meeting, please ensure you can stay for the whole day until 5pm. This is because the focus will continue to be on understanding Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STPs) and the workforce implications and the afternoon will be a development session entitled ‘From Paper to People’ with Nick Richmond and Roger Cooper from Tricordant. Please see the agenda for more details. Participants will need to stay for the whole day to really benefit from the network. Also, we tend to have a reserve list for these network meetings, so it seems fair to prioritise places for those who can benefit from the whole day.

Strategic HR & OD Network Conference Event

An all-day event sponsered by The Guardian Media Group

Date:  Wednesday 17th May 2017
Location: Kings Place, 90 York Way London N1 9GU

Time: 09.30 - 16.30pm
Registration: From 09.00 (lunch will be provided)

This is the third meeting of this new network. It is aimed at those HR and OD practitioners in senior strategic roles (who do not currently participate in other networks such as the Deputies or the L&OD network). We encourage people who've attended previous meetings to come again but it is also open to new members who haven't attended a previous meeting. As places are limited to 50, we may need to limit the number of people from each organisation if it is oversubscribed.

The purpose of the network is to:
  • Enable informal and formal networking.
  • Sharing of good practice and taking forward discrete areas of working around some of the challenges outlined above
  • Professional and personal development for the attendees
THE AGENDA FOR THIS MEETING:

At this meeting we would like to focus on understanding STPs from different perspectives – national, commissioning, acute, specialist trust, mental health, community and primary care.

We therefore like to invite members of the network to volunteer to give a short (10 min) presentation to provide a perspective on STPs from an acute/ specialist/commissioning/mental health/community/primary care point of view. We are also looking for volunteers to facilitate small groups, either in STP areas or in groups of colleagues from the same type of organisation.

The morning will focus on STPs (presentations and group) plus feedback from some of the sub groups. The afternoon will be an externally facilitated development session, details to be announced soon.

For this session, we will ask that all attendees stay for the whole day as the afternoon development session will continue the themes of the morning. Please do not book on the session if you cannot stay for the whole day. We always have a reserve list for this session, so it also seems fair to prioritise places for those who can benefit from attending the whole day. We will finish promptly at 4.30.

Please note: This is a free event but we have a cancellation fee of £100 if you cancel your place within 7 days of the event.

We look forward to seeing you at the event.
