In 1992, Sue Cox ran away from a social work career to play in the great outdoors. Delivering adventure-based Learning and Development to graduates and apprentices, she found the work she really wanted to do; helping individuals and organisations be more conscious, effective and happy in what they do. Since those early days she has held leadership roles in two national charities and gained extensive experience as an L&D consultant in the public, not-for-profit and education sectors. Facilitator, speaker and coach, her expertise lies in developing people as leaders, change agents, and team members.
Sue is also a tango dancer. In 2008, she ‘ran away’ again, this time to Buenos Aires, tango capital of the world, to immerse herself in the dance. When she returned to the UK, three years later, she developed Ballroom2Boardroom, to bring powerful insights from tango to organisations. Not just for ‘Strictly’ fans, her approach also works for the dance-phobic and terrified.
She is a TEDx speaker, a guest lecturer for The Institute For Leadership and Sustainability and delivers on the Civil Service Leadership Development Programme. She has a particular interest in how we can lead through complexity and uncertainty.
She still plays in the outdoors.
