Karen Dumain

Karen joined the NHS Leadership Academy in 2013 and works nationally and regionally to develop leadership & Organisational Development (OD) capability across the NHS.  Karen has been leading Do OD, working in partnership with NHS Employers since it’s start.  Do OD : Putting Theory into Practice is the expert resource on OD for the NHS. Karen also works nationally with 10 regional leadership academies to develop OD & leadership capability.  With a first degree in Behavioural Sciences, a masters in Leadership & Organisation of Public Services, as a CIPD fellow & qualitied in the NTL applied behavioral sciences OD certificate, as well as a qualified coach & mentor Karen brings a wealth of rich and diverse experience and knowledge.  Karen has worked in OD & Leadership roles in primary, acute and social care at a local, regional and national level and comes from a background in the private and third sector joining the NHS in the late 1990’s.  The golden thread in all her work is the passion to enable and challenge people and organisations to be the best they can be, delivering with high impact.
