SUMMARY:A virtual training session to discuss the physical
  and psychological safety of staff hosted by Capst
 icks.
DESCRIPTION:Employers will be aware that under the Health and 
 Safety at Work Act 1974\, organisations have a leg
 al duty to ensure the health\, safety and welfare 
 of employees and in this session we will look at p
 oints to consider in seeking to comply with this d
 uty whilst also protecting organisations. The Peop
 le Plan emphasises that the safety and health of N
 HS staff is paramount and that physical and psycho
 logical safety should be prioritised. Nicky Green 
 and Jennifer Harris will focus on two aspects: vio
 lence against staff and the impact of the pandemic
 .&nbsp\;\n \n This MS Teams training session will

  \n \n \n Nicola Green\, Legal Director\, Capstick
 s\n \n Nicola has specialised in employment law si
 nce she qualified in 2005.&nbsp\; She joined Capst
 icks in 2009 prior to which she trained and was an
  associate at a leading city firm gaining experien
 ce in general employment and corporate transaction
 al work. As a Legal Director\, Nicola has a wealth
  of experience in providing advice to employers in
  both the public and private sector on complex emp
 loyment and strategic issues. She advises individu
 al employers on a range of employment issues from 
 recruitment\, assisting employers with disciplinar
 y procedures and workforce change through to the t
 ermination of employment\, as well as advising at 
 a national level on the employment implications of
  legislative and regulatory changes. Nicola regula
 rly provides training and workshops to HR speciali
 sts and front line managers on a wide range of emp
 loyment law topics\, including legislative develop
 ments such as gender pay gap reporting and the Gen
 eral Data Protection Regulation.\n \n \n \n Jennif
 er Harris\, Senior Solicitor\, Capsticks\n \n Jenn
 ifer has joined the team having previously acted f
 or large composite insurers advising in all aspect
 s of high value EL/PL claims.&nbsp\;She has also a
 cted for local authorities\, in particular Members
  of the Insurance London Consortium\, a London bus
  company and a major international fast food chain
 . Consequently\, Jennifer has extensive experience
  in a diverse range of claims including Discrimina
 tion under the Equality Act 2010.&nbsp\;With first
 -rate technical understanding Jennifer provides ke
 y tactical and commercial advice and is able to ad
 apt to the different ethos of each client. She als
 o delivers excellent training on emerging legal de
 velopments.\n \n
