The webinar will focus on working within an ICS and how the balance of working within an organisation and within the system is shifting and how this may have an impact of workforce professionals and priorities.
This session will provide an opportunity to hear the latest thinking on the future of the ICS from a people perspective both from the HR and OD programme and future operating model standpoints. The event will provide lots of opportunity for discussion and thinking time on this important topic.
This event will be held on Wednesday 26th May starting at 1.30pm and will last for approximately 90 minutes and will include the opportunity to ask questions. Dean Royles – Dean Royles has been a highly regarded, leading figure in Human Resources (HR) within the NHS for nearly two decades. He now provides strategic advice and leadership development to organisations and boards. He is President-Elect of the HPMA. Former Chief Executive of NHS Employers, Dean joined Leeds Teaching Hospitals in 2014 as Executive Director of HR and OD. Leeds is one of the largest Trusts in the country employing over 18000 staff. Other notable positions have included Director of Workforce and Education at NHS North West and Deputy Director of Workforce for the NHS at the Department of Health. He started his career working in a local authority. Dean has an MSc in Human Resources and is a member of Sheffield Business School’s Advisory Board and a visiting fellow at Newcastle Business School. He is the former National Chair of the Board of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and was awarded Companionship of the CIPD in 2015. He has an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Bradford for his contribution to health services management. He is a regular conference speaker, published in several journals, on the editorial board of HRMJ and the International Journal of Human Resources Development, a social media advocate, and provides expert opinion in the national media. His effortless style, expertise, and high-energy approach to HR ensured he was voted UK’s Most Influential HR Practitioner three years running. His book, with Oxford University Press on Human Resource Management, was published in February 2018.
Christine Joy – Christine is currently supporting the national ICS Development Programme as operational lead for Change, HR and OD as well as working with South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw ICS supporting their transition from an HR and OD perspective. She is an HR and Organisation Development professional with over 20 years’ experience in the NHS and has worked in a variety of sectors including ambulance service, PCTs and Commissioning Support Units as well as in national roles in NHS England and NHS Improvement.
Jacquie White - Jacquie is Director of Workforce Strategy in the People Directorate in NHS England and NHS Improvement. Jacquie was previously Director of System Development supporting the emergence of integrated care systems and national policy enablers to facilitate improvements in health outcomes for patients. Jacquie is also a Non-Executive Director for the Patient Information Forum which aims to embed high-quality health information and support into care delivery models to improve patient outcomes and experience. Jacquie has over 20 years’ experience of working in and supporting health and social care teams to improve the quality of services for and with their local population. Having started her career in fundholding in a small rural general practice, Jacquie has worked across the public sector at a local, regional and national level, and developed and delivered national strategy and transformation programmes. Jacquie has experience of both commissioning and provider development and of supporting teams to integrate care across organisational boundaries.
