Within our profession, we are busy giving care to everyone around us and sometimes forget about ourselves.
This is an introductory session to meditation for those who haven't experienced meditation and are keen to start.
We are all aware that meditation can ease anxiety and depression by calming the mind, but we will explore our perceptions around meditation, dispelling some of the myths around it.
There will be a 15-minute practice session on the Loving Kindness Meditation, a scientifically proven meditation on compassion. It includes a visualisation technique to open the heart to yourself as well as others.
This taster session will give you an experience leaving you feeling much more compassionate towards yourself and those around you.
