HPMA East Midlands round table event: Learning Lessons to Improve our People Practice, Sharing good practice and Legislative compliance
16 October 2019
Venue: J25 M1 (Holiday Inn), Bostocks Ln, Sandiacre, Nottingham NG10 5NJ (9.30 to 11.30am)
This round table event is kindly hosted by Hill Dickinson LLP (Solicitors)
The training will be provided by Amy Millson of Hill Dickinson for the East Midlands HPMA Network: - A review of the seven recommendations made by Baroness Dido Harding; - Practical considerations to take account of when trying to satisfy the recommendations made, including allowing for Board-level involvement, but retaining Board-level independence/objectivity, and the conflict between transparency and GDPR guidelines; - Considering some recent Tribunal cases, and discussing how to avoid some of the pitfalls that can lead to an adverse finding and/or the higher awards.
This round table event is aimed at all HR practitioners and will explore the impact of implementing the seven recommendations made by Dido Harding in her letter of July 2019 along with the practical considerations to take into account and the sharing of good practice by looking at some recent NHS tribunal cases. It offers the opportunity for you to ask all those difficult questions and clarify any ambiguity which you may have come across when considering these in a safe Q&A environment.
We hope that you will join us for an informative session which will have both strategic and operational importance for HR Practitioners in the NHS, along with networking opportunities as part of the relaunch of the East Midlands HPMA branch.
