-          We have now held interviews for the second cohort of the ASPIRE programme. Candidates were interviewed by panels of HR Directors and Deputies so it was a nerve wracking process. Successful candidates will go on to a Development Centre, complete four modules designed around working with self, team, organisation and the wider system and work with a mentor. There are also action learning sets and stretch projects.

-          If you’re interested in joining the ASPIRE programme, aimed at aspirant Deputy Directors of HR, we will be selecting the third and FINAL cohort in early September with the application process open from mid-July. Watch this space for more news.

Strategic HR and OD virtual network

-          At the first meeting of the strategic HR and OD network people were keen to establish a virtual network to collaborate and share resources online. We have commissioned a group of students doing the Masters in HRM at the University of Greenwich to develop a plan for this network and they’ll present back to both the Academy Board and the Steering Group for the Strategic HR and OD network in March. If you’ve got some ideas on what you’d like from this virtual network and how it could run, please get in touch with diana.cliff@gstt.nhs.uk

§  New Development Programme for 2017/18 – HR & OD as a Strategic Partner

As mentioned in the last newsletter, we are in the process of interviewing potential providers for our 2017/18 programme and hope to send round a draft version of the programme by the end of March. You should then be able to use this to plan your and your team’s development for the year ahead.
