HR as a Strategic Partner
We are delighted to release an advance preview of our new events programme for 2016/17 – HR as a Strategic Partner. This programme has been developed in response to the learning needs analysis we carried out with many of our member trusts last year.
Many of you will be involved in appraisals at this time of year and we hope that by releasing the whole programme at this stage, you can plan your personal development for the year.
The events programme gives you an overview of our planned events for the year. We will then publicise each event approximately two months in advance, via email and on our website.

Under the overall heading, ‘HR as a Strategic Partner’, this year’s programme will be divided into three themes – StrategyOrganisation Design/Development and Change.

This is a DRAFT programme and all events will confirmed on our website and as we email them individually to members.
In addition to our programme of core events, e.g. legal updates, network events etc, we will deliver three different series of learning events:
‘How to’ series to develop your skills and knowledge in areas such as developing business cases, HR data analytics, talent management etc.
Personal impact series to support you to develop your emotional intelligence and skills such asfeedback skills, influencing skills, coaching skills, becoming comfortable with difficult conversations etc.
Organisation development series – for example, facilitation skills, consulting skills, diagnosing organisation wide problems, dialogic OD, change management

ASPIRE Development Programme

We are excited to announce that following support from HR Directors, HEE London and South East have agreed to fund  our proposed ASPIRE  development programme for HR and OD professionals. The programme will be aimed at Head of/business partner level who have the capability and desire to progress to AD/DD level and be future HR leaders. We anticipate that the programme will be a 24 month journey and include assessment, learning, practice, reflection and implementation.

 A refresh on Closing the Gap

For those who missed our recent joint HPMA/PPMA event: ‘Closing the Gap: How HR can work together to deliver effective integrated care’, or those who would like to revisit some of the presentations, we are delighted to release the video content from the event.

 National Certificate in Workplace Mediation TM EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNT

Reduced fees on accredited mediation skills training for HPMA Members
The National Certificate in Workplace Mediation™ is the flagship mediation skills course for mediators working across the NHS. TCM is running an NHS specific version of the course in May/June 2016.
This course is accredited by the Open College Network (OCN) and would typically cost £1,995 per delegate plus vat. HPMA members are being offered a 25% discount bringing the fee down to £1,495 plus vat. TCM have a reputation for delivering high quality and high impact mediation skills training for NHS Trusts across the UK. They have established award winning mediation schemes within numerous trusts and NHS organisations.
