A word from our Development Director
I hope you are enjoying the summer months. The team has been busy preparing for the launch of the ASPIRE program. With less than a week to go until the application closing date, we are receiving a lot of interest in the programme. Interviews to select the 1st cohort will take place on the 16th September. We have had a number of HR Directors and Deputy Directors volunteer to get involved and i'm pleased that we are developing a collective approach to managing our talent.
I would like to remind you that we are moving to new offices and our new contact details are covered below. We would like to thank Lynn Demeda and the team at Guys' and St Thomas' for being so helpful and welcoming. We would also especially like to thank Nina Singh, Adele Kendrick and the team at the Royal Marsden for being such generous and accomodating hosts for the last few years. 
My final reminder is about the National HPMA conference and exhibition which is being held on 2nd & 3rd November in Cardiff. This should be a stimulating and interesting event for all our HR and OD staff, so please do book a place

HPMA London Academy moving offices
From 5 September 2016 onwards, the HPMA London team are moving from the Royal Marsden HR Department to Guy’s & St Thomas’s HR Department. Our email addresses will be:

We have been receiving applications for our new HPMA London Academy ASPIRE Program designed to develop our future HR and OD Deputy, Assistant and Associate Directors.
There is less than one week remaining before the closing deadline of 9.00am 30th August.
The programme has been designed through a collaboration between the HPMA London Academy and our lead provider Authentic Leadership and has been funded by Health Education England.

The New HR/OD Network
Plans are progressing well with the development of our new network which will be called the Strategic HR&OD network. The planning group have held its first meeting and the 1st network event will be held on the 10th October. The theme of the first event will be responding to the Sustainability and Transformation Agenda facing the NHS. The network has been kindly sponsered by The Guardian Media Group and will be held in their offices in King Cross.
Further details of the network event will be circulated shortly. 

The HPMA national branch invite you to join us at our annual 2-day conference and exhibtion event, taking place at the Holland Hotel and Spa, Cardiff between Wednesday 2nd - Thursday 3rd Nomevmber
The conference will be addressing the big issues in healthcare HR while giving you time, space, expert input and development opportunities that a national UK event can bring!
