• Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Trust who worked with their valued Trade Union colleagues to quickly develop, consult and launch an innovative policy, the first of its kind in the NHS and public sector in the UK. It offers paid leave for parents who have lost their babies.
• Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust where Trade Union, People and OD, BAME staff network and management representatives together created a first step in the disciplinary process to apply the lens of equality and reduce the likelihood of BAME staff entering the formal process and reduce the overall volume and length of formal cases.
• Belfast HSC Trust where Trade Unions, HR & Equality colleagues have co-developed a virtual, Domestic and Sexual Violence and Abuse Support Toolkit. This one stop resource provides support and information and is an excellent resource for Trade Unions, managers, colleagues and will increase awareness and assure staff it’s safe and acceptable to raise concerns.

The winners of the award will be announced on 8 September at the awards ceremony in Birmingham.
