The Healthcare People Management Association is the professional voice of people professionals in health and care.

Established 50 years ago, we now have over 12,000 members ranging from HR directors and deputy directors through to trusts and ICBs.

Our aim is to support and develop the people profession to improve the people management contribution in healthcare and ultimately improve patient care.

We have a strong branch network that covers the whole of the UK, and we set and promote the highest standards in People Practices.

HPMA Appoints Janine La Rosa as Interim CEO

We are delighted to announce that Janine La Rosa FCIPD has been appointed Interim CEO of HPMA, effective from 1 August 2026.

Janine brings extensive experience in workforce strategy, organisational development and cultural transformation. Alongside her role as Chief People and Strategy Officer at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, she has worked strategically across the wider NHS and is well placed to support HPMA through its next phase.
