Branch Information

The London branch of the HPMA runs the London Healthcare People Management Academy as a ‘go to’ place for the development of HR/OD/workforce practitioners in the NHS in London and surrounding areas. We run a comprehensive programme of 100 development events each year for 50 NHS organisations, including a proactive approach to talent management for workforce professionals with talent pools and development programmes.

* *To support workforce professionals through the current challenges and priorities of Covid19, the Academy team have taken our programme online with a series of short sessions focused around Covid priorities.

  • Provide networking opportunities across member organisations to enable the sharing of best practice in people management; increase collaboration across organisations; consolidate knowledge and accelerate learning
  • Maintain current membership and attract new members in a sustainable way
  • Work closely with our partners including member organisations, development providers, sponsors, CIPD, HFMA, local authority, the Leadership Academy, HEE etc
  • To utilise our resources in the most cost effective way, continuing to deliver low cost high quality development and attract additional central funding where possible.

We stand with our BME colleagues and their anger at racism. Real change has been too slow, if at all. As an employer you can help tackle discrimination in your #NHS organisation, access our resources to help you implement change #BlackLivesMatter https://www.nhsemployers.org/news/2020/06/access-resources-to-tackle-racism-and-discrimination 1/7

Risk assessments are key to a successful return to work during #COVID19 — employers have a duty to carry out risk assessments, implement #safe systems of work, and keep these under review. View our risk assessment flowchart with the key issues to consider: http://ow.ly/gYQr50zYEoY

Silence is deafening but there r some dos & don’ts to consider when checking in.
