We are delighted to launch our HPMA London Academy 2022/23 development programme entitled
‘Stepping Forward as a Future Focused People Professional’
We believe that this is the most exciting and comprehensive programme we have produced to date and hope that all our member organisations will support their staff to assess these development opportunities. The content of the programme has been designed around the feedback we have received on the development priorities identified from our learning needs analysis. In addition this year we have taken into account the findings of the 2021 NHS Futures review of the people profession. Many of the overarching themes in our development programme complement the development needs identified by this review.
We have produced an interactive resource for you to rapidly access information on our programme as in the image below, also dates for the confirmed sessions we have right now.
Last year the HPMA London Academy produced a resource hub with a wealth of information, hints, tips and prompts to support colleagues to achieve their development objectives and their career aspirations. We would like to direct all people professionals and their managers to this resource hub and encourage colleagues to take a planned approach to their development. One of the commitments we made as a result of the #InclusiveHR action plan, is to support all people professionals to have high quality career conversations. You will find a framework for career conversations along with information and ideas on career pathways. We encourage you to use these resources alongside the appraisal process and to also link the development planning process to the HPMA London Academy 2022/23 programme. By fully utilising all of these resources and taking a more intentional approach to development and career planning we can achieve our aim to support all people professionals to fulfil their potential.
