With the increased use of social media, HR professionals in the NHS need to understand the employment law implications.

The session will include:

  • Cyberbullying and offensive behaviour
  • Freedom of expression
  • Monitoring and surveillance
  • Use of social media in disciplinaries

Speaker Biography – Andrew Davidson, National Head of Employment and Partner at Hempsons. Andrew supports employers in the health, social care and private sector on employment law issues in his role as head of Hempsons national employment team. Andrew has a national reputation for his work in handling concerns about doctors (under the MHPS framework), dealing with discrimination issues, employment tribunal claims and TUPE in particular and he has considerable expertise across healthcare employment law. He regularly provides training for clients on a wide range of employment law and HR issues and is a regular speaker at national conferences. The Legal 500 directory has described Andrew as “…robust, practical and a safe pair of hands”
